OK, first off, we want to thank everybody for their patience and support. We realise that it has been a while since January 2013, when we released the debut single - moon handed, and we've had a tremendous amount of interest in that time, thanks to all our friends on Twitter, SoundCloud, Facebook, ReverbNation, MySpace (both old and new) and direct from our website - ontofield.com. Also special thanks go to our friends Carlos Vaz at progressiverockbr.com in Brazil, Jim Lawson at Cuillin FM, Shaun Geraghty at the Prog Mill - Radio Stafford, Will Mangold in the US on PRM Radio, Mike Klemmer at progulus.com, Greg Stafford at Prog Palace Radio and of course the lovely Louise Davies on Radio Seagull for their interest and support for Ontofield.
The big news this edition is the upcoming release of the debut album - sleeping with fractals. After the success of the single release of moon handed, there has been furious and frantic activity in the studio to finish the long awaited album. There is also a view from John Graham about what the last 6 months have been about and some insights into the content of the album.
The new and debut album by Ontofield will be available in mid to late June 2013. It's been a while coming, but definitely worth the wait.. The album has the following track line up:
1. moon handed- remix (5'00) 4. the key (15'47)
2. sleeping with fractals (17'59) 5. my machine (11'37)
3. holographic rain (7'05) 6. underlying symptoms (5'22)
The single,"moon handed" has had an album remix and was mastered, along with the rest of the album, by the expert ears and hands of Andy Jackson at Tube Mastering. sleeping with fractals will be available to buy from ontofield.com as a CD version and will also be available to buy through iTunes, Amazon and the other usual suspects.
Next order of business is, what does "the assemblage point shift" mean? Well, in this instance, it is a phrase used by Don Juan in the Carlos Castaneda book "The Art Of Dreaming". A kind of assembly and production point of energies gathered from our senses which helps us interpret and see the world in different ways; an energetic point, which makes us "perceive". The shift represents a different way of looking at this "show" and opening up a great deal of other stuff too. It all seemed like rather a good title for an Ontofield newsletter!
The album itself features various themes; from flirting with the past and buried memories, to exploring possibilities of where we came from and why we are here. What is "real" and the idea of "belief".
It also explores the lies and manipulation by various crypto-totalitarian terrorist corporations masquerading as "states" and "governments", through their owned mass media juggernaught and the effect it has on us, the "bewildered herd" and the human mind in general. Do we use this manipulation as an excuse or are we all waking up slowly?
And yes, there's also some stuff about sausages...
We would really love to hear from you! Let us know what you think of the album, the website, the lyrics, this newsletter, the state of the world, what we should do about it, giant pharma, giant food, the lying, insidious mass media, sprituality, manufacturing of consent, belief, propaganda, the military industrial complex, what are you reading and listening to? Anything! Give us your suggestions. This newsletter is yours, so get in touch with what you want to see and talk about, we are listening. You can use the contact us form on the website, which, is here.
